Stonehenge, the naturist symbol, and the Druid Awen sign

Avatar. 3 films.

Image of the third avatar film, Fire and Ash

Last night I saw this film. It lived up to the reviews I read.

More of the same compared to Avatar 2.

The first film was amazing. New, fresh, a wonderful world.

Film 2 added more violence, more explicit greed, more human nastiness. Film 3 almost topped that.

Don't get me too wrong: the Pandora imagery is amazing, the water world of film 2, the wind travelers of film 3, incredibly done.

Alas, the amount of overkill hardware, the unmovable human desire for things and destruction put me off in a terrible way. It makes me despite humans.

Why I saw the film anyway? Film night with a friend, and this was his choice.

If ever there is a part 4, I will not watch it.

I need Pandora and the Na'vi people to be pure and serene in my head, the image that the original film left there, despite the natural dangers of palulukan and other natural inhabitants of the planet. Give me the beauty of all three films and leave out the war, the violence and the destruction. We have too much of that here already, and it's only getting worse.
