Stonehenge, the naturist symbol, and the Druid Awen sign

Thanks to a bug...

I own a BlueSound Node unit. It's great. I used to have a Sonos Port but that was starting to get limited as far as the phone application goes.

After the last firmware of the Node things suddenly started going a bit south. Usually I'd start the app, select all the music and set that to shuffle. Enough to give me music for the entire day(s).

After this upgrade, the same procedure would give me about 25 songs and repeat those. No matter how often I would restart the Node or my phone, the same 25 songs appear. That gets boring rather quickly.

Playlist on my phone
After contacting support (very kind, fast and supportive) there was no solution to the problem. Okay, that could suck for someone who's not creative.

I am creative. If you don't believe that, look at the books I've written so far and come again. Still not convinced? Then look here. :-)

I've started compiling new playlists of all the music I have on my NAS. Yes, that's a lot of work but it's proven to be a wonderful idea.

This way each playlist has plenty of music for a whole day, and each playlist has different music in it, so that adds to the variety of music every day. And no, I don't create playlists by genre like many people probably would do. I create them on the first letter of the album name, adding for instance all A and B to a list, all C and D to a list, etc.

Thanks to a bug I am now enjoying a better selection of music.

Go me.
